"For years my son was in the Special Education program at school. He had difficulty with reading, spelling, math and especially with writing down his ideas. He scored very well on tests in Science and Social Studies if the tests were orally given to him and his responses written down for him. Otherwise he scored poorly.
After going through the Listening Fitness Training (LiFT) Program, there has been a noticeable improvement in academic achievement. Written work has shown a definite improvement. Spelling is his only weakness now and that too has shown an improvement. He has been writing his own responses in Science and Social Studies. Best of all he made the Honor Roll shortly after going through the program, and missed it by only 4 points on the last report. During the coming school year he will be in the regular Grade Six class."

I like going to Centre for positive learning because she helps me with my reading, math and listening. I also like when we do activities with brain gym and learning a lot of new things. I like when we do the chisanbop with times, adding, and subtraction. My teacher's very patient and kind. She is a great help. She also helps me with my listening skills. Maurine is very understanding and what I need to help me with all of my skills.

D. is much more receptive to learning and though he still doesn't like homework he most often now readily gets after it in order to get it done so he can have free time where before he would sit for hours not wanting to work on it. He responds very well to Maurine and her encouragement combined with the brain gym and the tapes has just done wonders for D.

made it fun, allowing the children to express themselves and be themselves
around you. You always provided a comfortable working environment full of
smiles and kindness. Not only did you assist them with school work but you

Maurine, you were instrumental in changing and influencing D’s way of
learning. We feel that the Brain Gym was a useful tool in preparing D in her
studies. We strongly believe the Listening Trainer greatly improved her
reading. All that you did helpd D in all areas including math, reading,

Chisanbop Workshops
I will consider teaching Chisanbop to one of my classes next term
I have already started teaching this method to my students! I have found it very effective. I know from personal accounts and experiences that this is a lifelong skill that can be used at any age or ability.
I will gradually teach my autistic student this method a little everyday until he can comfortably do it on his own.
I plan to use Chisanbop in my grade 6 classes. I have several special needs students and they seem to have come to a barrier in terms of their ability to function in math. Chisanbop will help these students with their basic facts.
